Lead Pastor Ron Swanson
Pastor Ron Swanson grew up in a small town just outside of Erie, PA. He became a follower of Jesus Christ at an early age and was discipled by loving parents and the tremendous church family at First Assembly of God in Erie, PA. Pastor Ron met his wife Colleen in High School and they now have three teenage children: Michael, Rachel and Daniel. Pastor Ron Swanson is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and has served as Senior Pastor in two churches, and as an Associate Pastor of youth and worship. He has also served as an Assistant Presbyter and Sectional Youth Rep, as well as, serving as the Penn-Del Western Church Development Coach (LDR Coarch). Recently, Pastor Ron has earned a Master's Degree from Southeastern University in the area of Ministerial Leadership. The call to be a Servant Leader, was the heart of this degree. Pastor Ron has a diverse ministry background and has served as a Children's Pastor, Youth Pastor, Worship Leader, Interim Pastor and Senior Pastor.
Youth Pastor Amanda Gorel
Pastor Amanda Gorel grew up in the small town of Swoyersville, PA with her mother, Wendy, and brother, Johnathan. From the time she was six years old, they have attended First Assembly of God church in Wilkes-Barre. Amanda graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in 2007 and went on to pursue a Youth Ministry Degree at Valley Forge Christian College, graduating in May 2011. In September 2011, Pastor Amanda wed Cody Gorel and they have one son, Micah James, born in May 2013. As a young couple, they have served on the Youth Ministry leadership team here at First Assembly of God. Throughout the past several years, she has also been involved in other ministries such as His Resting Place Maternity Home, Wyoming Valley Rescue Mission, and Holy Hands Expedition. Pastor Amanda looks forward to seeing all that God has planned for the youth of this congregation and surrounding communities - watching them grow not only individually, but also collectively with the mission to serve others. She is excited to see the students lead others to follow Jesus Christ in the same manner. At Revival Youth Ministry, “We’re not family as you’ve always known it, we’re family how you want it to be.”
